7-12 Certified Science Educator (2025-26)

Knowledge and Skills:
● 
evidence of strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and technological skills
● training in experiential or personalized instructional methodology is desired

Experience and Training:
● 
three years of secondary teaching experience (preferred)
● possession of a bachelor’s degree in secondary education with subject area specialization
● possession of state licensure in subject area specialization

CCA Music Educator

The Calvary Christian Academy Music Teacher will embody a love for the Lord, a love for students, and a love for learning. Our Music teacher will be a member of a dedicated and supportive teaching team that functions cooperatively to serve students.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of developmental characteristics of the age group taught. 
  • Effectively utilize the basic elements of musical instruction i.e. preparing students for learning, presenting new learning; deepening and reinforcing learning, applying learning, assessing learning. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to inspire learning and cultivate relationships with students. 
  • Prepare appropriate weekly lesson plans including instructional objectives, planned activities, biblical integration, assessments, and resources.
  • Implement effective classroom management and discipline procedures to establish a positive classroom environment conducive to learning. 
  • Model effective teacher-parent partnering through timely communication with parents in support of student learning e.g. posting of assignments and grades, conferencing, etc. 
  • Be responsible for the supervision of students in instructional and non-instructional school environments and activities. 

Experience and Training 

  • Evidence of a mature, personal Christian faith
  • Possession of a bachelor’s degree in music education (master’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience preferred
  • Evidence of strong organizational, communication, interpersonal and technological skills
  • Orff Training Certification (Preferred)
  • Instrumental and Choral Training (Preferred)
  • Musical and Theater production experience (preferred)
  • Evidence of strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and technological skills
